Happy Spooky Season, Panther families!
I hope you’re enjoying the cooler temps!
At our last FFO meeting, Lynn Pence, the CFSD Director of Educational Technology, presented on the addition of AI in our schools and held a Q&A session.
At this month’s FFO meeting, the location of the 8th Grade Promotion will be announced! Please join us to begin the committee work on this important event.
We hope to see you at the meeting or on Zoom!

Congratulations to the Prabhu Family of the Month for October 2025!
The Prabhu Family donated to the FFO Panther Pride Fundraising Campaign in September and was automatically entered to become our October Panther Family of the Month!
Please make your donation today – you might be the November Family of the Month!
The winner of the Family of the Month is displayed on the marquee, can choose an item of Spirit Wear from our inventory or have their very own designated parking spot for the month, and is recognized in every FFO communication! Your donations continue to provide funds for classroom supplies, staff appreciation events, grants, legacy projects, promotion, and many more activities that make Orange Grove so special!

Short on Time But Still Want to Help Orange Grove?
Fulfilling wish lists can be a great way to help OGMS if you aren’t able to volunteer on campus! Throughout the year, we have teachers and staff who are in need of specific items for their classrooms and work areas.
Examples include:
- Kleenex, saltine crackers, and water bottles for the nurse’s office
- School supplies for teachers to replenish their classrooms
- Items to stock our family support closet for students in need of assistance
Click here to visit the Sign-Up Genius for teacher and staff donation wish lists. We also have an Amazon wish list if you want your donations to be shipped directly to the school!
As always, thank you for supporting Orange Grove!

The Book Fair Is THIS Week! Before School and during Lunch.
It will be open before school from 7:00-7:25 and during all lunches. Books can be purchased with cash, credit card or e-wallets.
We are still in need of volunteers during the lunch periods. Please consider helping out. It would be greatly appreciated!
Come help spread the love of reading.
Thanks you! We look forward to seeing you at the book fair!

On Wed, 10/22 we celebrated our staff with a caramel apple bar in the lounge. Thank you to everyone who donated apples and toppings!
|
A big THANK YOU to the Gonzales family who generously sponsored the delicious Brother John’s staff lunches on 10/01. What a spread! We trust it made the work of Grading Day go faster for the teachers!
|
A second big THANK YOU to the families who contributed to the Custodial Appreciation event on 9/30. The FFO was able to show some appreciation to Orange Grove’s four custodians with gift cards and a poster signed by the students. They work so hard, thank you for helping us celebrate them!

It’s been a great start to the school year for the OGMS Grants Committee, and we’re excited to share what’s new and what’s next!
Approved & In Action
This month, one exciting grant was approved — and it’s already making an impact!
Grant Title: Systems Thinking Cards
Amount Approved: $265
Our English Language Arts department will soon receive 50 sets of “Habits of a Systems Thinker” cards — purchased at a discounted rate of $5 each (regularly $10/set).
- Each ELA teacher will receive 10 sets for small group student use.
- An additional 10 sets will be kept for staff collaboration and meetings.
These cards, developed by the Waters Foundation, help students and educators explore critical thinking, problem-solving, and how systems connect — a perfect addition to our growing toolbox for engaged learning! Thank you to principal Mark Rubin-Toles for submitting the idea!
Got a Great Idea?
We’d love to hear it! The OGMS FFO Grants Program gives parents, teachers, and staff the chance to dream big and directly enrich student learning and school culture. Whether it’s a new classroom resource, creative project, or enrichment activity, your ideas help make Orange Grove even better.
